The Late Show was broadcast live every Saturday night at 10pm from 1992 - 1993 from Studio 31 at the ABC's Ripponlea facilities in Melbourne, Victoria. One exception was in Season 2 Episode 16 which was from Sydney to celebrate Sydney winning the bid to become the host city for the Olympic games in 2000. The duration of each show was approximately 50 minutes.

The cast was Santo Cilauro, Tom Gleisner, Jane Kennedy, Judith Lucy (1993), Tony Martin, Mick Molloy, Rob Sitch and Jason Stephens.

All episodes in each season ran consecutively, except for three breaks in the scheduling where four specials were aired.

After Episode 10 in Season 1, a mid-season break allowed a highlights show to be aired, focussing on sketches which came to the attention of ABC's Backchat program. Then a By Request show later in the year after Episode 18, putting Episodes 19 and 20 back by a week.

In Season 2 there was a two-week break in August of 1993 to air two specials The Olden Days Special and The Best of the D-Generation Special.

Backchat highlights show 26/9/1992
By Request 28/11/1992
The Olden Days Special 14/8/1993
The Best of the D-Generation

21/8/1993 & 28/8/1993

In addition to these specials, on 16/10/1993 after episode 18 of The Late Show, Aaron appeared with Santo and Rob on a special presentation of "The Devil At Your Heels", the documentary about daredevil stuntman Ken Carter.
